This design by Harry Bertoia for Hans and Florence Knoll is an icon of mid-century modern design. Straightforward and simple but still unmistakable. This model 400 bench is a particularly early edition in rare variation of teak wood with chrome frame. It has written details relating to the customers order to the underside as well as stencilled numbers and impressed part numbers. This is an early edition of the design that dates to the 1950s or 1960s.All original and in very good condition with only minimal wear and tear for its age.
