Can I change my appointment with the courier?

Once you have selected a day for transport with the courier, the route is scheduled and can only be changed in exceptional cases up to 48 hours in advance. A new appointment will then be made and you should take a waiting time into account.

When and what time will the Whoppah courier arrive?

If the buyer has chosen transport with the Whoppah courier, the seller will first receive an e-mail in which a desired pick-up time can be selected. Then the buyer will receive an email to select a desired delivery day. Both receive an email at 13:00 the day before with a time slot of 2-4 hours (depending on location) in which the courier will drop by.
On the day itself, the courier will contact you 30min in advance. Please note that transport with larger items can unfortunately sometimes lead to acceleration or delay. We work hard to predict this as accurately as possible.

I can only choose a full day delivery option, do I have to stay home all day?

You don't have to stay home all day. You will receive a text message and an e-mail at 3.30 p.m. the day before with a time slot of two hours and a track and trace link with which you can follow the Whoppah courier.

Does the delivery have to take place on the same day as the pick-up?

Accepted Answer

No, the item can remain in our transfer for a short period of time. This means that the pick up does not have to take place on the same day as the delivery.

Question 6

Who is responsible for damage discovered when transported with the Whoppah courier?

Accepted Answer

If damage is found when an item is picked up, the courier will contact the buyer to see if the item should be left with the seller or if the item can still be taken.

If damage is found upon delivery, an investigation will be launched to see if this happened during transport with the Whoppah courier or if the damage was already known in advance.

Will the courier come alone?

Depending on the size and weight of the item, it will be determined whether 2 couriers are needed to lift. Please note: our couriers do not disassemble or disassemble items.

How do I book the Whoppah courier?

When you buy an item, you can have it delivered to your home by Whoppah. Our couriers are experienced carriers and also very helpful. Indicate in the check out that you want to use the courier service, you will receive an automated email from us in which you can schedule an appointment with the Whoppah courier. The item will be collected from the seller and delivered insured to the buyer throughout the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The service is available from €49 and can go up to €149 per item. The rate depends on the distance, size and whether 1 or 2 couriers are needed. You choose the Whoppah courier at the checkout.

Question 10

Do I need to pack the item in advance?

You do not need to pack the item. Our courier will check the item for damage first. When the item is approved for transport, the item is protected with special blankets and straps in our transport box. As a result, as little packaging waste as possible is created. Place the item as close to the entrance as possible so that the courier can take the item directly. Please note: our couriers do not (dis)assemble.

Can I book a courier after my item has already been paid for?

You can also order the courier service after you have already paid for the item. Go to the 'Support' heading and click on 'Delivery methods' to book the Whoppah courier separately.

Does the Whoppah courier have a moving elevator?

Accepted Answer

Please note: we do not provide and operate a moving lift. If you need one you will need to book one yourself. We recommend using Giraffelift.nl. They rent out moving lifts with an operator or an experienced mover, so that you do not have to operate a moving lift yourself and your beautiful purchases come up and down safely.

Why does the courier check and photograph my item?

As a seller you must indicate the condition of the product in the advertisement. When the courier comes to collect your item, he checks whether the condition of the item corresponds to the information in the advertisement. In addition, he takes 5 photos of the item before the item goes on the Whoppah bus. If damage is discovered that is not recorded in the photo, then the burden of proof lies with the buyer.
