The Saarinen dining table comes from the famous series called Tulip, created by the Finnish-American architect and designer Eero Saarinen (1910-1961) for Knoll International .
The Saarinen Tulip dining table shows the perfect beauty of constructive reduction and is an irrefutable classic of modern furniture design. The large piece of furniture is characterized by a large base and a cup-shaped table leg on which the oval table top rests.
The table leg gave the product series from which this table comes the name Tulip - because the shape is reminiscent of an upside down tulip.
The Saarinen Tulip dining table has a stable stand and a dignified appearance and has been produced unchanged since it was first introduced in 1957.
The table's creator, Eero Saarinen, is considered one of the most famous architecture and design icons of the last century.
Instead of the usual four legs for a table, Saarinen used a column base for the Tulip oval dining table and the other Tables in the so-called Pedestal Collection, which was intended to ensure calm and a clear Design .
The result is the elegant Saarinen Tulip Tables, which, with their organic, curved shape, set clear and harmonious accents in very different environments.
The table top is made of Verde Alpi Marble (green, with varying tones and intensities of shades)
