Vintage scandinavian round/oval dining table that turn from round by extending to oval. The table has been completely restored. The table is actually as good as new again completely fresh in 2 coats of Scandic oil. Scandic oil was chosen because it gives wooden surfaces a neutral and untreated look with maximum protection. The Scandic-Oil is particularly environmentally friendly.
The Danish round table does of course have signs of use, still has some dents and scratches but these are minimal.
The pine table is marked with KS Denmark which stands for Korup Stolefabrik Denmark.
The table is round 100cm and the extra leaf is 50cm. The oval will then be 150cm x 100cm. The legs slide out and are attached to the top by screws. The legs are fairly easy to disassemble. The leaf should be stored next to the table.
The table would also be very nice if painted in a funky color. The table fits as it is now in many interior styles; Industrial, Bohemian, Botanical, Country, Modern, Eclectic, scandinavian but also wabi sabi, japandi or brutalist. Chairs by Rainer Daumiller would go well with it.
- The table could be a bit higher by putting some thicker felt under it.
- The extension system works fine but always works better in pairs.
- Both sides have to be extended.
