The CH24 chair, also known as the Wishbone, is an authentic classic in Danish design. Designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1949, this chair has been manufactured by Carl Hansen & Søn since 1950.
When creating the CH24 chair, Wegner intended the backrest and armrests to be harmoniously integrated. He devised the iconic Y-shaped backrest to support the steamed top, giving the chair the name Wishbone. The result is an elegant and sophisticated chair with unique seating comfort.
The manufacturing process of the Wishbone chair involves more than 100 steps, most of which are done by hand. The hand-woven seat alone requires about an hour from a craftsman and 120 meters of paper cord. The meticulously crafted Wishbone is a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship and Danish design.
