Selling Swing model chair, designed by the German designer duo Jutta and Herbert Ohl for Rosenthal Lübke, Germany, 1982. Two copies available, sold separately or as a set.
Major figures in German design of the second half of the 20th century, Herbert and Jutta Ohl delivered with the Swing one of the most singular and sought-after cantilever chairs of European postmodernism. Its structure is entirely composed of concentric and independent steel rods, lacquered bright red, whose precise geometry and visual lightness recall the spirit of the Ulm School — of which Herbert Ohl was director — as much as the radical aesthetic of the Memphis movement.
Very good general condition, some slight signs of use inherent to the age of the piece.
