the cassina maralunga 3-seater sofa is a design by vico magistretti.
It is said that one day Vico Magistretti was playing with a pack of cigarettes thinking about what kind of new sofa he would design.
Opening and closing the package gave him a unique idea: an adjustable backrest.
Separately, each handrail can be 'folded' at an angle of 90 degrees, just like the cigarette pack. It became a huge success and the sofa is still seen as one of the most famous Italian design sofas.
