Pernis, NetherlandsView all items from this sellerDesk with chair for main board of the PTT from 1919. Design by Willem Penaat, executed by the Pander firm. Desk top has been broken and repaired almost invisibly. The bottom 2 knobs of the drawers are not original but were later recreated in some kind of plastic. The remaining 4 are the solid ebony originals knobs. The locks were unfortunately once removed. Chair and desk have been re waxed and the seat of the chair reupholstered. The top itself needs to be secured with the original oak blocks after transport.Old break in top has been repaired but still visible. Locks are missing and 2 knobs are no longer original.
