Willem Noyons - Orange vase King vase (2013)
This is the Leerdam Koningsvaasje in honor of the change of throne in 2013, when then HRH Queen Beatrix abdicated and HRH Prince Willem-Alexander was inaugurated as King of the Netherlands. The vase was designed by Willem Noyons, taking inspiration from the pomegranate, a fruit that represents wealth and unity. The Orange vase was mouth-blown at the Glasblazerij Leerdam, the glassworks of the National Glass Museum Leerdam.
The vase was issued in a limited edition, and this copy bears number 120. It is signed by WN 2013
