Egon Eiermann is considered one of the most important German architects of post-war modernism. Eiermann was not only esteemed as an architect, he also had a lasting influence on a generation of designers in furniture design. Eiermann was the first to develop series furniture in Germany after the Second World War that met international standards in terms of form and functionality. He is regarded as the leading head of the Second Modern Movement in the field of furniture design. From 1948, Eiermann designed a collection of chairs for Wilde & Spieth.The wood of the folding chair has scratches and slight discoloration in places (see more in the pictures).
