Product description
A vintage glass vase from the Finnish manufacturer Iittala, designed by the legendary architect and designer Alvar Aalto. This iconic object, often called the Savoy vase, is a prime example of Finnish design, known for its organic, undulating shape reminiscent of the Finnish lakes.
This specific vase is executed in a deep, vibrant cobalt blue color, a shade that beautifully accentuates the flowing lines of the design. The piece is hand-blown from glass, a technique that makes each vase unique. On the bottom, the vase is engraved with 'ALVAR AALTO' and the year 1989, confirming its authenticity and production date. According to the accompanying documentation, this piece comes from gallery Marzee in Nijmegen.
