Tough industrial metal bookcase made of metal in cheerful colors designed by Adriaan Dekker & Mr. van Mieren for Tomado in 1958. This Tomado wall cabinet from the 1960s is made of black metal sides with red, yellow and two gray metal shelves in between.
Tomado stands for Van der Togt Massa Artikel Dordrecht and was founded in 1923 by brothers Jan and Wim. Particularly popular were the Tomado racks in white, black, red, yellow and blue, reminiscent of the style of Gerrit Rietveld and Piet Mondriaan .
Dimensions; Height 170, width 99 and depth 29 centimeters. In vintage condition with clearly visible signs of wear consistent with age and use.There are scratches on the top gray shelf, the screws are new.
