Folding stool by Torck specially made for the biggest event Belgium has ever known, the 1958 World's Fair in Brussels. This souvenir could be purchased during Expo 58 and gave its owner the opportunity to take a break. The stool was named "Setaney" which in Brussels dialect means "sit down". It was manufactured in red, yellow and black which is a reference to the Belgian 3-color. In a very limited edition, it was also available in gray, now a coveted collector's item. However, sales of this 'Setaney' were disappointing so the large overstock were destroyed after Expo 58. The stool has the normal signs of use but is otherwise in nice condition. On top of the seat is the logo of Expo 58, namely the world famous star designed by graphic artist Lucien De Roeck. The star features the Brussels city hall. Furthermore, all letters are still perfectly legible, which is rather exceptional. The stool also has the original non-slip caps at the bottom. The cap at the top is missing but this is not disturbing. The stool has the normal signs of use but is otherwise in nice condition.
