The table can rightly be called a modern classic: the design is inspired by the model designed by Jean Prouvé in 1940 as an office table. As befits a good Bauhaus piece of furniture, the shape of the top is an exponent of its functionality.
We have always used it as a dining table. It is ideal for this, because its free form allows you to sit comfortably with larger groups as well as with two or three people.
It can also be used very well as a 'home workplace' or as a table for discussions. Everyone can look at each other clearly from anywhere.
The table has three well-placed elliptical stainless steel legs that never get in the way. The top is already slim in itself, but the beveled edge makes it look even thinner.
The table has been used daily for 15 years, so there are superficial scratches on the lacquer layer, no serious damage.
