Decorative Art 70s
Decorative Art 1970s presents the futuristic, experimental aesthetics of the 1970s.
After the revolutions of the 1960s, the world of design and architecture turned into a hotbed of ideas - constantly changing and full of opposing schools and movements. In many ways, this decade was a more extreme era than the previous one. Experimentation was everywhere and many projects were seen as progressive visions of new art and design; even if they were not practical. Various groups returned to natural methods, emphasized craftsmanship over style, or pushed the logic of industrial life to the extreme. Decorative Art 1970s includes the work of the stars of those years, including Afra and Tobia Scarpa, Luigi Coltani, Ettore Sottsass, Achille Castiglioni, Kisho Kurokawa, Norman Foster, Richard Meier and Theo Crosby.
