Retro table lamp, consisting of a vintage red ceramic lamp base and a new handmade lampshade with a graphic black and white motif.
The red lamp base has a beautiful relief decor, which is enhanced by the relief being accentuated with a black glaze.
The lamp base was designed by Halidan Kutlv for SPARA KERAMIK.
Halidan Kutlv was the main designer at Spara. Spara is the composition of SPang RAnsbach. This German company was founded in 1947 by Ludwig Spang and was located in Ransbach.
The production of vases and other ceramics started in the late 1960s and Spara ceased to exist in 1985, when it was taken over by 'Hark', a factory that made kilns.
A light-colored clay was used for the production of ceramic objects such as vases and lamp bases (some older objects are made of orange-red clay). Many objects had been given the name Spara via the mold or the name was stamped on the bottom afterwards. Studio items were produced and these were stamped with the name and the mold number was hand-applied to the bottom. Not all ceramic objects were provided with the name Spara.
The electricity has been renewed and the lampshade is new and handmade by us. The lamp has a black cord with switch and a European 2-pin plug, the fitting is suitable for E27 lamps.
