Beautiful ceramic hanging lamp by the Danish Sjørslev from 1971.
This twisted earthenware hanging lamp is made of dark brown/brownish gray clay and is largely glazed in light gray. The top of the lamp is embossed during the turning process. During glazing, most of the paint ended up in the grooves that were created, creating a subtle and lively color difference. The grooves are lighter in color and ridges somewhat darker. In some places (very subtly) some brown clay is still visible.
In my experience, the lamp looks something like a spaceship. As soon as the lamp is lit, it spreads a warm light through the various holes, reminiscent of the rays of the sun.
The lamp is signed on the inside and provided with the year '71.
