Sjef Henderickx (1944-2022), an acclaimed Schiedam artist, unfortunately died last year after a fall. Education at the Academy of Visual Art Rotterdam (1965-1970), teacher at the Academy in The Hague and co-founder of "KunstWerkt". Well-known works by him are "The Lamb" in the Grote Kerk Schiedam, unveiled in 2010 by former Queen Beatrix and the Resistance Monument in the Juliana Park in Schiedam.
Appointed Knight in the Order of Orange Nassau in 2019.
After his death, the artwork he designed in the alley along the Jenever Museum Schiedam was unveiled by his widow.
This original statue is a wall bronze "Pine Trees" where the pin (see photo) must be placed in the wall. This pin is 6 cm. Depth of the statue when placed against the wall is 10 cm.
