Hand turned ceramic in white refractory clay made with a manual engraving. Previously rare offered!
Aldo Londi (1911-2003) was a painter, sculptor and primarily a ceramist. He designed objects that are still part of the history of Italian ceramics. He was born in Montelupo Fiorentino. At the age of 11 he began working for Fanciullacci's production, where he was able to learn the traditional techniques in making pottery.
The lampshade shows some stains and use marks, but peculiar to the time. Original plug and electrics, working perfectly.
