The swan carries a young one. Made from a model of cardboard, clay or wax from which a mold is then cast. In principle, a series of casts can be made from this mold, which Spanjera offers for sale.
Ria Titia Spanjestra (1954 Leeuwarden) is a self-taught designer. She was never able to attend art school. She could be found almost daily in the company of visual artist Hein Mader. Ria Titia learns the tricks of the trade from Hein Mader, especially the technique of using materials. In connection with nature, her themes are flowers, birds, landscapes. Materials acrylic, oil paint, clay, bronze and stainless steel. Everything she makes speaks of her passion, feeling and spirituality.
