Extraordinary red opaline glass pendant lamp designed by Herwig and Frank Sterckx.
In the period 1968 - 1969, the duo Herwig and Frank Sterckx designed a whole series of lamps for Glasfabriek De Rupel. All lamps were hand-blown in steel molds. The test pieces were first blown in wooden molds.
So this lamp was produced by Glasfabriek De Rupel. The Rupel produced glass for companies such as Massive , Philips and Bo-Niko.
This minimalist pendant lamp with a special shape fits any interior: classic, modern, space age, retro/vintage.
The pendant lamp is in good condition. At the bottom a few very small chips are missing, see photo 7. The lamp comes with a new white cord of 120 cm. and a new white ceiling cap. The lamp has an E27 fitting.
