A wonderful book about the legend QUEEN and their history.
Phil Sutcliffe has been writing about rock since 1974 and has interviewed such luminaries as Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd, Kate Bush, Radiohead, Nirvana and many others.
Similarly, he has collaborated with dozens of rock journalists and photographers to chronicle the history of QUEEN.
The band known from their first known poster for a performance in 1971 and a performance in 1973.
And in the meantime, this is already 53 years ago.
QUEEN, the band that became so famous for their great live performances. The book contains more than 500 photos - of performances, but also from behind the scenes, some of them never published before - and images of many other artifacts, such as posters, tickets, T-shirts and LPs. ( see photos).
Also sharing their personal stories are Peter Hince, former head of the road crew, producer Reinhold Mack, and Billy Squier, Mercury collaborator and friend.
The intro begins with the beginning, the band members and Freddie Mercury who could not be ignored, "always looked and acted like a star, even when he didn´t have a penny to his name.
Here is the ultimate illustrated history of these kings of rock.
A beautiful book in sublime condition.
