Brussel, BelgiumView all items from this sellerThis rare, early PK22 was manufactured between 1960 and 1969 by E. Kold Christensen. (It was not until 1982 that the armchair was put back into production by Fritz Hansen.) The armchair must be at least 54 years old. The exact age of the armchair is unknown. I bought the PK22 in 2014 at Detijds Design (Netherlands). The canvas upholstery has been redone. Not by me, but by the owner who sold the armchair to Detijds Design .
It is in a beautiful vintage condition. With signs of wear that match the age of the armchair.There is corrosion at the ends of all four legs. Mostly on the left front leg (see photo). A Cassina expert informed me that most of it can be polished off, but that the traces of use will remain somewhat visible.
