Beautiful vintage modular wall system designed by Poul Cadovius, Royal System. Danish furniture designer Poul Cadovius was born in Frederiksberg in 1911. In 1945, he founded the furniture manufacturing company Royal System. Soon after, he got the idea to design a modular wall system, the famous Royal system. This wall system won the gold medal at the Finland Furniture Fair in 1950 and the silver medal at the XI Triennale di Milano 1957 and remains popular to this day.
The system is one of the first from the production of Poul Cadovius. The system comes from the 1950s and still has joints with the dowels. Beautifully designed and very sturdy. The system has been polished and oiled, down to the slats. It is in good condition with few traces of use.
The system has 19 shelves including one desk shelf, 4 wall slats, 2 cabinets, one with drawers and one with sliding doors. Also there is one desk shelf extra.
