The top of the original table has become a bit duller after years of faithful service. Furthermore, there are small rust spots here and there on the chrome legs (not really visible). The two extensions are little used and look perfect.
This table (and the chairs) are perfect for a wonderful evening with family and friends. During the day I sit here to work and even after sitting for 8 hours, I have no back pain!
This particular dining table is extendable:
Single: 180 x 120 cm (without extension)
Double: 240 x 120 cm (with 1 extension)
Triple: 300 x 120 cm (with 2 extensions)

The Fritz Hansen Superellipse Table is a special collaboration between Piet Hein, Bruno Mathsson & Arne Jacobsen. Special because unlike Arne Jacobsen and Bruno Mathsson, Piet Hein is not a designer but a poet, philosopher and mathematician. His multidisciplinary approach was used to design the traffic intersection Sergels Torg in Stockholm.
The shape of the traffic square inspired Arne Jacobsen and Bruno Mathsson to design the Superellipse Table, in which they naturally also enlisted the help of Piet Hein. The result is a stylish table whose shape is somewhere between rectangle and oval. The special shape gives the table allure, making the Superellipse Table immediately catch the eye everywhere. This is also due to the beautiful materials, which complete the picture.Says in the description
