Pierre Collin, born in Paris in 1956, lives and works in Conleau (Vannes-Morbihan) and in Paris. He teaches at the European School of Art of Brittany, location Lorient.
Education:
1975-1980 National School of Fine Arts of Paris.
1980-1982 artist-in-residence Casa Velasquez, Madrid.
1982-1983 artist-in-residence Cité des Arts, Paris.
1985-1986 scholarship student from the Ile-de-France region
Collin received the engraving award of the Academy of Fine Arts in 2009 and was elected to the French Academy of Fine Arts on April 25, 2018, at the seat of René Quillivic, No. IV of the Engraving Department.
In addition to many solo exhibitions and participation in group exhibitions, he has received multiple commissions for illustrations of various works by writers and his work is included in public collections, including the French National Library, Department of Prints and Illustrated Books; National Library, Madrid; Vincent van Gogh Foundation, Amsterdam; Museum of Contemporary Art, Madrid; Graphic Arts Office of the State Gallery in Stuttgart, Germany.
