Pierre Collin, born in Paris in 1956, lives and works mainly in Conleau (Vannes-Morbihan) and also in Paris.
He teaches at the European School of Art of Brittany, Lorient location.

Collin received the Engraving Prize of the Academy of Fine Arts in 2009 and was elected member of the French Academy of Fine Arts on April 25, 2018, at the seat of René Quillivic, No. IV of the Engraving Department.
In addition to many solo exhibitions and participation in group exhibitions, he has received several commissions for illustrations of various works by writers and his work is included in public collections, including the French National Library, Department of Prints and Illustrated Books; National Library, Madrid; Vincent van Gogh Foundation, Amsterdam; Museum of Contemporary Art, Madrid; Graphic arts office of the Staatsgalerie in Stuttgart, Germany.
