The Palio table lamp is a modernist classic designed by Perry A. King and Santiago Miranda in 1985 for Arteluce. The chrome reflector and Opal Glass are held by a delicate metal structure on a black base. The integrated dimmer allows for seamless adjustment of the light intensity. Perry A. King is an English designer who studied industrial design and moved to Italy in 1964 as a consultant to Olivetti. Together the Spanish born Santiago Miranda with whom he designed the lamp, he founded King Miranda Associati in 1976. Arteluce is known as a premier Italian lighting company founded in 1939 by designer Gino Sarfatti, who later on sold Arteluce to Flos. Since its inception, Arteluce has defined a new and exciting modernist language that redefined lighting design.
