Quote from the designer Alfredo Häberli: "The idea was to design a social, warm yet visually lightweight table. The type of construction (sheet metal and wood) has drawn its inspiration from the modern details of the carpentry crafts; the console and joist hangers made of plain steel have their sophisticated rebirth. Different colors of the metal parts provide the table with different characters. I deliberately added a bar just above the floor, which serves to place your feet on". This detail used to be part of many tables in the cafes of the 1920s and is now integrated in a contemporary way".
Another special detail: The angle of the table edge slopes outward at the ends and inward at the long sides, with the transition taking place at the corners of the tabletop.
Sustainability: Stammtisch tables are largely made of durable wood and can be disassembled, sanded and repainted for "a new life" when needed.
The material and parts are ready at the factory and when ordered, the table is finished.
