Rare vintage thermos with artwork by German artist Otmar Alt, probably from the 80s or 90s. Otmar Alt is one of Germany's most popular contemporary artists.
This Leifheit Columbus thermos with cheerful yellow lid was designed by German designer Hans Erich Slany.

About Otmar Alt
Otmar Alt was born on July 17, 1940 in Wernigerode, Germany. After studying painting at the Berliner Meisterschule für Kunsthandwerk and the Berlin University of the Arts, he quickly rose to the artistic avant-garde and is now considered one of Germany's most important - and, for that matter, most popular - artists.
Otmar Alt's artistic repertoire ranges from painting and graphic art to sculpture. But he also designs everyday objects such as children's toys and fairy-tale figures made of ceramics. To date, he has presented his artworks to the European public in more than 250 solo exhibitions. Otmar Alt has long inspired the art world with his colorful and cheerful works. As a leading representative of the "New Figuration," he succeeds in taking the viewer into his imaginative dream world.
