A characteristic and iconic design from Dutch design history, in which functionality and an elegant, industrial design come together beautifully. The comfortable chair has a slender metal frame, a steel plate back, and bakelite armrests. The sleek minimalist design was developed in the late 1950s within the collaboration of Wim Rietveld and Ahrend De Cirkel and grew into a recognizable Dutch design classic.These armchairs have been re-upholstered by the previous owner in a beautiful turquoise wool fabric from De Ploeg. The fresh color gives the robust metal design a soft, contemporary look! With very light signs of wear on the metal frame. The 2 pieces are sold separately.
