Rare Matteo Thun design whistling kettle.
Beautiful design in Memphis style from the year 1989.
The whistling kettle belongs to the stainless steel King collection for WMF in Germany.
In 1927 WMF introduced new stainless steel material called
Cromargan, an alloy of 18% chromium, 10% nickel and 72% steel.
It is stainless and unbreakable which stands for extreme durability.

• About Matteo Thun:
He is a famous Italian
architect and industrial designer,
born in the year 1952 in Bolzano.
He studied at the Salzburg Academy and at the
University of Florence. In 1979
he met Ettore Sottsass and became one
co-founder of the 'The Memphis
Group' in 1980. He also worked as
a professor of design at the
University of Applied Arts in Vienna
from 1983 to 2000.
In 1984 he opened his own studio in Milan and
since then he has designed a broad
range of products for numerous
manufacturers in Italy and abroad,
including Swatch, Arzberg, WMF,
