A beautiful classic in a unique color combination of bronze and cream white. The lamp has probably been repainted previously, although this was done very professionally. There are minor signs of use visible, including some scratches and dents, which is reflected in the price of the lamp.
The three-shade system of this lamp, designed by Poul Henningsen, dates from around 1925. Henningsen, a versatile talent as a journalist, musician, author and architect, particularly excelled as a designer. As a supporter of functionalism from the 1920s, he mixed aesthetics and functionality in his creations. He recognized the psychological impact of lighting on a space and the emotive response it can elicit. You could say that he brought the concept of “mood lighting” to life.
A white ceiling rose is included with the lamp. The lamp has an E27 fitting and is supplied without a light source. When shipped, the lamp is carefully packed to prevent damage during transport.
