Metal construction in excellent condition, no rust or scratches on the chrome.
The straps of the sofa base are completely tight and in tension. See photos.
Photos of the "mattress" show the Cassina brand frequently and well.
On the back on the long chrome tube that encloses the back cushions is engraved in the corner with the standing chrome tube 'Cassina LC5 .F00594 Le Corbusier MADE IN ITALY'.
The sofa has been little used. The chromed base is still completely flawless, but the upholstery of the seat-lounge shows signs of use. The current owner does not mind, but the new owner might consider having the 'mattress' reupholstered.
The wool upholstery is in fair condition; stain on seat/lying surface and some discoloration under the cushions, however, only visible when the cushions are turned back. The upholstery can be easily replaced because of the zippers.
The interior of the seat/bed and cushions is in very good condition. Seats and sleeps excellent!
The sofa is difficult to photograph. Every photo distorts the proportions. The last 4 pictures are not of my couch, they only serve to show exactly how nice the proportions of the couch are.The wool upholstery is still in fairly good condition, but there is a stain on the seat/back and discoloration, but only when the three back cushions are turned back for sleeping.
