Product description
The VEB Narva Model 3140 clip-on lamp is a defining piece of 1970s East German lighting design. This specific model captures the minimalist, industrial aesthetic of the Space Age era, offering a highly functional spotlight design that remains relevant in contemporary interiors. Constructed with a cylindrical metal housing finished in a dark grey graphite lacquer, the lamp features a distinctive looped wire base. This flexible clip, resembling skids or runners, allows for tool-free mounting onto shelves, desks, or bed frames. The piece retains its original black power cord with a classic inline switch and is compatible with an E14 socket. It measures approximately 15 to 17 centimetres in shade length and 22 to 25 centimetres in total height. The lamp is in good vintage condition and is fully functional. The metal construction is sturdy, and the original lacquer finish is well-preserved, displaying a light, natural patina consistent with its age and history. The original wiring and plug remain intact. This versatile spotlight is an excellent addition to a home office, reading nook, or bedside setup. Its industrial character pairs seamlessly with Mid-Century Modern, Space Age, or eclectic contemporary decor.
