Ulrica Hydman-Vallien was a Swedish glass artist. She specialized in making painted glass and became known for her designs of vases with decorative paintings. As a result, Hydman-Vallien's works were always unique. However, products have been brought onto the market that she did not paint herself, but on which a sticker with her design was applied. Hydman-Vallien studied at Konstfack in Stockholm, where she also met her future husband Bertil Vallien. In her designs she incorporated references to Biblical iconography and feminism, but elaborated in a simple and sometimes humorous way. She also designed utility glass. Her name is closely linked to manufacturer Kosta Boda.
