This lot contains 3 handmade glass fruit objects. Namely a banana (21x4 cm.), a green pear (16x9 cm.) and a red apple (11x8 cm.). All items are hand signed and numbered at the bottom, two are still with Kosta Boda sticker. All items are in perfect condition.
Gunnel Sahlin (1954-) has designed many classics for the Swedish Kosta Boda glass factory. One of the most famous series is Frutteria from 1989. It consists of a large number of objects with a common fruit theme. They are handmade with swelling shapes, bold colors and added parts. The series was in production until 2002.
Gunnel Sahlin (1954-) is one of the well-known representatives of illustrious contemporary Swedish glass design. She has been designing art glass for Kosta-Boda and Åfors since the 1980s. Gunnel is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.
