ABOUT THIS DESIGN
The Kartell KD28, designed by Joe Colombo in 1967 for the Italian furniture brand Kartell, is a rare vintage table lamp from the Space Age era. The design stands out with its deep red plastic casing combined with a spherical opal white shade. This piece of furniture forms a striking accent on a sideboard, desk, or bedside table.
When the lamp is lit, the Kartell KD28 spreads a warm and diffuse ambient light through the acrylic shade. The round cutouts in the red frame allow the light to shine atmospherically from both the top and sides. A collectible piece of Italian design that seamlessly combines innovative plastic use and sleek 1960s styling.
