Rare "vintage - Mid Century - Brutalist" Capri floor lamp by Ilse Stephan for Schlossberg Keramik, circa 1970
Very rare large version of the "Capri" decor vase/lamp (floor lamp-table lamp) by Ilse Stephan for Schlossberg Germany. The height of the ceramic base is 50 cm. The lamp comes with the original matching shade. The vase-shaped ceramic base with a diameter of approximately 20 cm bears the model number 297-50, (the last two digits indicate the height) and is produced in the series of Capri vases made by the German designer Ilse Stephan in the 1970s. '70s. The mottled white-blue foot has oval motifs with a deep blue glaze. The large hood is covered with a heavy cream-coloured, fibrous paper. The ceramic part is in excellent condition, the shade has age-related signs of wear (see photos), but the lampshade frame itself is still fine and could possibly be reupholstered. The lamp is fully functional (electrical part has been checked) and is suitable for both LED and incandescent bulbs.This lamp is in excellent condition, only the lampshade has some minor age-related damage and some discolouration to the fabric (paper).
