Hamburg, GermanyView all items from this sellerThe secretary was designed by Marian Grabinski for IKEA (Sweden) in 1963 and sold at the time. It is very rare to find IKEA objects from this time. It is of high quality and made from light oak wood.

* Behind the upper folding door there is a large, removable drawer compartment at the top right as well as two open compartments below and next to it.
The folding door/storage area can also be used as a writing surface.

LABELLING
The object is documented in common design literature and is therefore attributed to the designer/ Furniture manufacturer, but it also has a stamp on the back, which is unfortunately only very faintly visible.
In this case, however, after conscientious research and with more than good specialist knowledge of MidCentury Vintage objects, we are very sure that it is the brand/model mentioned above.

The object is in very good and very well-maintained Vintage condition, carefully cleaned and superficially treated with high-quality products.
Of course, there are still common, deep-seated, age-appropriate ones
Signs of wear on the oak wood surface.
+ These are: A few small surface scratches, very few small dents/notches and very few smaller abrasion spots, these are mostly angular - there are also slight age and/use-related color variations and a few smaller, lighter spots, these mainly on the Top shelf (see last photos above).
....... However, all traces are usually only a little more visible upon closer inspection without being serious......
