A sculpture by famous artist Hugo Verheyen from Lier (Belgium). Verleyen has managed to collect a large collection of prizes over the years. He won the Corona prize in 1991 and 1993, the Vermeylenfonds prize in 1992, the Citybank prize in 1996, the prize of the city of Liancourt and the gold medal of Ostend, Nieuwpoort and Ghent. The crowning achievement of Hugo Verheyen's work was that he was voted the most creative artist in Europe at the Grands Concours Internationale in Paris in 1997. The Flemish artist was chosen as the winner from 1,300 works of art from 29 different countries.
In this marble sculpture, Verheyen captures a round shape surrounded by a collection of abstract shapes. The whole consists of graceful curves and waves that together lead to a beautiful whole.
