This service was delivered in 1993 and never used.
Ordered in 1991 we had to wait 2 years until we could pick it up in Amsterdam.
However, by then two small children had joined our family and we decided not to use the set but to put it in a display case.
Never used it. We got rid of the boxes.
1 folder of Hermès Toucans goes with it.
This new dinnerware consists of 35 pieces:
1 teapot or coffee pot (Hermès states it is not specifically for coffee or tea)
1 sugar bowl with cover
1 cream jug
6 saucers with a diameter of 16 cm.
6 coffee cups and 6 saucers
6 teacups (or cappucchino cups ) and saucers
1 large serving dish, round, with a diameter of 28 cm.
1 Moustiers for Hermès bonbon dish with lid, size 15 x 15 cm, with a maximum height of 10 cm.
The tableware is made of the finest bone china, thin and strong.
Only the bonbon dish with lid is made of ceramic.
The parts of Hermès dinnerware made by Moustiers are highly sought after and very pricey.
All parts bear their Hermès mark.
No chips or cracks. Never used.
International auction sites also offer this dinner service. Thus, a price of 5,480 euros is asked for a 22-piece service and 3,200 euros for a service as offered here but without a bonbon box, without a serving dish and without 6 cake plates.
The set Toucans by Hermès is no longer in production at Hermès.
Unique opportunity to obtain a completely new Hermès Toucans service.
Attention: the service can be picked up or sent by courier. Shipping by mail had to be chosen as an option, but this is not possible due to fragility.
