Very nice design lamp designed by Swedish designer Carl Thore and produced in the 1960s by Swedish lamp manufacturer Granhaga Metal Industri. In good condition with minor signs of use, see last photo for spots.
This lamp is from the so-called "Trava" series, a series of lamps consisting of bowls stacked on top of each other.
Dimensions: 29 cm diameter, 30 cm height to top of black tube.
Light source is included.
Carl Thore
Sigurd "Carl Thore" Lindkvist was born in 1916 in Åmål, Sweden. In 1961 he started at Granhaga Metallindustri as head of Sales & Lighting Design. Lindkvist adopted the pseudonym Carl Thore when he presented his lamps to a customer. Because he did not want to reveal his identity as a designer to the client. Lindkvist used his two middle names for this. From then on, the lights were labeled "Carl Thore Design. Lindkvist remained with the company until he retired in 1981. Today, the Trava lamp is the most popular and most widely distributed of Lindkvist's Carl Thore - lamp designs.The lamp has a stain in one place, see also photos. However, it remains a beautiful stylish design pendant lamp.
