This design sofa that is extendable to a person bed of 190 x 70 cm. comes from the period 1950-1960. The seat width of the sofa is 190 cm, total length is 210 cm. This sofa received new foam and leather upholstery about 18 years ago. Given the model, this sofa was part of the Lotus 75 collection designed by Rob Parry for Gelderland in ca.1960. Rob Parry was a student and collaborator of Gerrit Rietveld. With a simple movement, this sofa extends into a single bed. The sofa is technically in good condition considering its age.The upholstery is part leather and part fabric and it could be replaced to your liking. The fabric is not torn.
