Impeccable serigraph (no. 36 of an edition of 125) by the Amsterdam-born (1902) and Zevenaar deceased (1999) painter Fred Sieger. His widow has loaned his estate from the Liemers museum in Zevenaar. Including a version of this work. His love for Zevenaar is also evident in his later signature 'Sieger v. Zev.' , as in this work from June '92.
More of Fred Sieger's work can be found in the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, the Museum of Modern Art in Arnhem, Museum Het Valkhof in Nijmegen, Museum Henriette Polak in Zutphen, Museum Schloss Moyland in Bedburg-Hau (D) and many private collections in the Netherlands. and abroad.
I am selling this intriguing work because I want to narrow my modest collection to exclusively abstract work by women.
Feel free to come and have a look in Haarlem, because I have more nice works, but only sell a few at a time (to be able to slowly distance myself ☺️)The work is not framed. Hence the price. It is glued on acid-free cardboard and can be framed. A passe partout will make the work stand out nicely.
