Tempered float glass (clear), steel and rubber.
Dimensions: 110 x 110 x 25 h. Glass plate thickness: 1.5 cm.
Design coffee table that is timeless. Glass top and steel screws and rubber black wheels.
Table is in good condition. Small damage on one of the corners (see photo). Also a few very small scratches.
The Tavolo Con Ruote coffee table on wheels was designed by Gae Aulenti for Fontana Arte. Fontana Arte is nowadays mainly known for its designer lighting. However, the label has also released countless other products over the course of the last century, including glassware, vases, furniture and home objects. High quality and remarkable designs are characteristic of the range.
The Tavolo Con Ruote - Coffee table on wheels was invented in 1980 and is now a classic in the Italian design world. The stylish design consists of a sheet of transparent glass with a robust wheel on each corner. The coffee table has an industrial look, which fits into any home furnishings. Because the height of this interior product is only 25 cm, the Tavolo Con Ruote - Coffee table on wheels is very suitable as a practical and inconspicuous side table.
The table has a top of tempered float glass that rests on four wheels. Thanks to these wheels, the table is easy to move. They also give the table a minimalist, sturdy look.
Gae Aulenti was a designer from Italy who built up a varied oeuvre. After training as an architect, she designed museums and shops, but Aulenti also made a name for herself as a designer of chairs and tables. Shortly before her death, she received a career award.Small damage on one of the corners (piece of glass missing).
