One of the most beautiful organic chairs in ABS plastic by French designer Pierre Paulin and produced by Boro Belgium .Originally made as outdoor furniture in 1972 . This 8810 model flower chair is now a very rare and sought after iconic piece of plastic design history. Due to the oil crisis that hit Europe in the early 1970s, prices for the production of plastics became too expensive and mass production of injection molded plastic designs became less or even stopped.
Not many of these chairs have survived, making it a rare piece .Marked with factory stamp below the base. The chair shows signs of use and cracks in the base These cracks are caused by age and the drying out process of the material, making the chair fragile. The chair was repainted in brown.Everything is shown in the photos. The chair has a registration number: nr 0192373 and was made by Boro 8810 in Belgium.Cracks are visible at the bottom of the base.
On the back, some spots of the original color are still visible (the chair was repainted in dark brown).
On the seat there are light scratches visible.
