This pristine Giso lampshade (diameter 30 cm / height 23 cm) has a porcelain fitting, a chrome custom-made brass fixture (length approximately 80cm, extendable to 1 meter) which is suitable for ceilings from 240 to 4 meters.
In 1923 Gispen started serial production of lamps. Due to the great success of these series , Gispen started a more extensive series production of lamps in 1926. The Giso trademark was linked to this in 1927. Gispens lamps acquired international fame under this name. The light fixtures, with their opal-coated glass bulbs, meet all requirements for lighting technology and aesthetics. Gispen took Bauhaus lamps as an example for its Giso lamps. The modern fixtures that were intended to prevent glare were a gap in the market, because this was not yet possible with pre-war carbon filament bulbs. After the completion of electrification in the Netherlands, this was possible with the modern Giso lamps.
When shipped, the item will be carefully packed to prevent damage.
