Beautiful Cognac color leather recliner made by De Sede Switzerland. The chair has a metal base with a beautiful foot. This chair is completely hand made also the edge is completely hand sealed this is really a top armchair. Also the patina is beautiful through use,There are a few small dots loose in the seat but that makes no difference to the seating comfort. De Sede A piece by de Sede gives a strong personality to the space it occupies. One of the world's most respected furniture design houses, de Sede's Swiss craftsmanship has its foundation in a long history of making expertly designed saddles. Founded in 1965 to build on a successful, family-run saddle shop in Klingnau, Switzerland, de Sede is now a leading manufacturer of leather goods and furniture, including sofas, chairs and beds. At the heart of de Sede's philosophy is reverence for the complexity and beauty of handmade furniture at a time when mass production is the norm. Over the years, the studio has made a name for itself in its modular furniture pieces made with the highest quality leather upholstery. The sleek, elegant pieces combine functionality with beauty. One of their best-selling designs is the DS-600 introduced in 1972. Also known as the Non Stop sofa, it is a sensually curved, sinuous modular sofa whose individual pieces can be zipped together to create multiple variations and arcs. De Sede has collaborated with some of the world's best designers to enhance the prestige and individuality of their products. Designers such as Santiago Calatrava, Antonella Scarpitta, Stephan Hürlemann, Gordon Guillaumier and Philippe Malouin have all created pieces with the studio. Ubald Klug's 1974 DS-1025, also known as the Terrazza sofa, is an enduring favorite with its tiered learning levels. In 2017, de Sede expanded its product line to include high-end leather handbags, as thoughtfully and beautifully designed as the furniture. Now part of the Volare Group AG, de Sede AG continues to handcraft its beautiful furniture and other goods from its factory in Klingnau.See photos.
