The DS-76 is an exceptional modular sofa, designed and produced with craftsmanship by Swiss furniture manufacturer De Sede.
Each element is individually transformable into a comfortable guest bed, without any need for mechanical support.
When introduced in 1972, the DS-76 was considered revolutionary, thanks to its simple and ingenious mechanism, a one-of-a-kind in the world of sofa beds.
Made of soft, warm chocolate brown leather, the sofa is in excellent, used condition with a beautiful patina that has developed over the years. The sofa shows no flaws but has superficial signs of use, such as light scratches and creasing.
All zippers work smoothly, it includes all anchors to secure the elements together, and the sofa comes from a smoke-free home.
The original owner modified one corner element, allowing the corner to be changed. This allows the sofa to be flexibly adapted to both left and right configurations, or simply as an additional intermediate element without a corner, allowing it to harmoniously adapt to any interior. The possibilities are clarified in the last picture.
The DS-76 is still being produced, albeit at considerably high new prices, attesting to its enduring popularity and timeless design.
